the equation would be $90 + 0.50y(number of Apps) equals c(total cost)

Very close. Remember, variable represents a changing quantity in these functions so it should not be a number. Also, try to use x as the independent and y as the dependent variable.

10/19/2017 04:00:53 am
Is it 90y + .50x??
D. Patel
10/19/2017 04:02:29 am
I meant y = .50x + 90

this video was very helpful. still hard to remember if the independent variable is the one controlling the dependent variable, or if its the other way around. ps. you have lots of board games. 〜(꒪꒳꒪)〜 pps. do you have settlers of catan?

The independent variable would be the apps and the dependent would be the cost of the apps.
