Then I used the elimination method.

If you plug in (1,8) it only works for the 2nd one. not the first one.
It doesn't equal 8
I change my answer. The solution is (-1, 2). Thanks for correcting me and informing me of what I didn't do; check my solution. Hopefully I don't ever forget in the future.

I disagree with the answers "(1,8)". I got (-1,2). If you plug that into the equations the ordered pair works. But if you plug (1,8) into the equations it does not work.
nvm 1,8 doesnt work on the top equation
I got (-1,2) too. The first time that I tried it I got (1,8) but then I did it again with the other equation and I got (-1,2).
This is kinda hard to remember all of the processes but the challenge answer i think is (1,8)

I got the answer (-1,2). After that, I checked my answer by plugging it in (-1,2) and it worked.
