5x+3y=15 (standard Form)
3y=15-5x
y=5-5/3x
y=-5/3x+5(slope intercept form)

All we did was epic graph battles of algebra, which was awesome!

I understand, but can have 2 different variables on one side of the equation?

Well yes, because in standard form x and y are on the same side of the equation.

Why don't you multiply the 3 by 4 when working with the fraction in the slope intercept form

Well technically we did. When we multiply 3/4 by 4 what happens is 3x4=12
then 12/4 = 3
so 3/4 x 4 = 3
As a short cut the multiplying 4 and the denominator 4 canceled each other out leaving the 3.

Some of the videos you said I was missing were from when I wasn't even in the class so I didn't think it counted but I commented anyway

I get it but when it like a fraction couldnt you just give the denominator to the Y instead of multyping everything?

I think that you probably could, but the other method might be just a better way of doing the problem to make it a little deeper and clearer to find an exact solution to. Great question!

Hi! That video had a really cool way of graphing and changing Standard Form to Slope-Intercept Form and the other way around!!! Anyway, like Ray, I also am not a fan of chess (even though I want to learn how to play), but that game seems really simple and fun!
