Hi. The quality was low so it was hard to see the equation and some of the numbers. So, did I get this clear? When the output is negative, then the graph decreases. When the output increases then so does the graph.

The output being negative is not what makes it decrease, because you could have Y values in this order -10, -9, -8 , -7...those are negative outputs yet still increasing.

It is the coefficient SIGN that controls the direction. If the coefficient is negative then the graph will decrease. If the coefficient is positive then the graph will increase.
