284 assignments that's crazy in order to be 0%. I'm glad we don't get that many

You can always earn extra credit by asking good questions, answering others, or leaving a helpful comment like Tapaysa did below.

Hi! This was really helpful. I knew how to make the scatterplot, but I didn't know it gave you the linear regression equation and the correlation. If you don't have word, PowerPoint, or excel, I have a website that does the same thing.
* WHEN YOU PUT THE VALUES OF X AND Y, THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD PUT IT.

3 5 6 8 21 56 23 25 65 25 65 98 32 65 32 24 6 98 3 0

3 3 3 5 6 21 56 89 15 26 2 25 26 26 26 15 59 5 25 36

There should be one or two lines for the x values with a space in between each number. For y values, you have to start a new line a couple spaces down and have space between each value for y.

I approve this website. One of the best for this project.

That was a VERY helpful video! Are we going no to present with the person that we worked with to find all of the data when we were first assigned this project?

Yes, you and your partner will present your project.

What about the second bullet on step 2 which is Descriptive Modeling? I don't understand what it is.

Bullet 2 - Descriptive Modeling says:
-Construct a scatter plot of your data.
We learned how to do this by hand the first day of the unit. You can also use power point to create a scatter plot like I do in the video. Tomorrow in class would be a good time to ask for more help when we have the laptops.

-Describe the correlation shown in the scatter plot.
This means to use the vocabulary words we learned. We practiced this on a few sample graphs yesterday.

Oh ok. I understood the scatterplot, but not the correlation. I remember doing that. thank you

This was very helpful but are we just gonna make up a number to interpolate or extrapolate?

Yes, you can choose any number for your interpolation/extrapolation as long as it matches the correct type of predicting.

Me and Ben did our work today... let's just say the lowest plot was at (10,3) and the highest plot was at (8,75,000,000)... YEEAAAHHH..... We had a correlation of somewhere around .1... But who knew the game "Bubble Witch" could have more installs than Minecraft PE?! And a game with 5 stars had 3 installs?!?! Our world is doomed.

when you construct a scatter plot on paper do you want us to calculate it ?

Calculate the regression equation? Yes, you will still need to use a website, power point, or graphing calculator to find the equation and correlation coefficient.
