Question- If you simply do not know the dilatation, so you don't write it in your equation, how could you tell if your answer is right, because the dilation could be wrong?

In unit 2A we were just focusing on the forms and the graph characteristics. In the next unit we will work with the numbers more precise and we will find the exact dilation factor every time.

I have a question about the rate of change, I thought that you use both changes in y and in x. Is that incorrect? That's how I did it on the test. I saw on the video that that you only used -4 over 2.

The change in Y from the point (-1,0) to (1,-4) was negative 4.

The change in X from the point (-1,0) to (1,-4) was positive 2.

Change in Y over Change in X

-4/2 = -2
