You forgot to label the triangles with A B and C.

Nice try. That is a good strategy to prevent mistakes when solving but that is not the mistake I made :)

YOU FORGOT THAT IT COULD BE POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE FOR THE ANSWER!!!! (example: x=+or- 4, the square root of 16 could be positive or negative 4)

No, you need at least two of the side values to find the third.

I understand the math and everything but I'm just having trouble trying to find a, b, and c for some reason

If you can find the right angle, the "c" is across from it.

Comment- I think the mistake was that you forgot positive or negative for the first two.

Question- Is there a formula/theorem for solving for the longest side of any other shape...like a trapezoid?

Geometry has lots of formulas! We are only touching on triangles because of the square root. We will be back to parabolas Thursday.

I might have eaten some hater-tots for dinner but I got kinda bored with this video because its what we learned in class. If you want to peruse your YouTubing career, then you need to step up your game. Your mistake is that you said, " I'm Mr. Bigsby and I approve this message" you name is Mr. Dragonberry!!!!!

Yea, the videos have been kind of like a class lesson at home for students who forget. What would you like to see more of? More word problem examples? Maybe some unanswered problems? More videos before the lesson? I am open to suggestions.

Does it matter what angle is A or B if u Already know what C is ??

A and B are the side lengths, not the angles. And it does not matter which one you label A or B. But the hypotenuse has to be C.
