No, the y-intercept is (0,2). Therefore, you'd need to add 2 not 1.

Just by looking at the second slope equation, I immediately knew that answer. 2x + 4 is basically saying, (for x=1) that 2 + 4 is 6, 4 + 4 is 8, (x=2) 6 + 4 is 10, (x=3) and so on. It's nice how Mr. Bigsby decided to give us a small challenge to see if we understand it. For the first "on-your-own" problem, (y'know, y=2x+4...) the plots are essentially the same ones as before, but with an increase of 4 on the y-axis, therefore instead of the plot being (0,0), [on the example, y=2x+0] it is instead (0,4).

Rise and run is one thing. Rise over run is also known as slope. The slope is -3. You multiply -3 with x and put in the y-intercept. The y-intercept is the point at which the line crosses. It would be (0, 2). The equation would be -3x+2. mx+b where m=slope, and b= y-intecept
